The Europa Insurance Group is composed of TU Europa SA and TU na Życie Europa SA, and, from the beginning of 2012, Open Life Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Życie SA.

Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Europa SA was founded in 1994 and received permission from the Minister of Finance to conduct both direct and indirect insurance and reinsurance activities within the field of non-life and personal insurance on the territory of Poland and abroad. On 8 June 1999, the company was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange for the first time.

In 2002, Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie Europa SA was granted permission to conduct direct and indirect insurance and reinsurance activities within the field of life insurance on the territory of Poland and abroad, which broadened the scope of its activities and created the basis for establishing and developing activities under the second pillar of the Europa Insurance Group.

For nearly 17 years, we have been creating innovative products adjusted to meet the needs of our clients. We have had very good results, which has allowed us to develop our product lines systematically and to implement bold new business strategies in a flexible manner.

Europa belongs to an exclusive group of companies that adhere to principles of responsible corporate governance and is one of two insurance companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Potential of Product Innovation

As a leader in bancassurance, we create new trends in insurance products dedicated to the Polish financial sector, and we actively influence this market. We have been organizing, for 10 years already, industry conferences that provide a place for dialogue and an exchange of experience in the field of bancassurance. We conduct research that helps us understand the expectations of our clients and that contributes to the development of the bancassurance market in Poland.

We specialize in insurance related to financial products, and we cooperate closely with the Polish financial sector, including leading banks and a large group of financial intermediaries. Europa's strength is in its comprehensive offer and speed of implementation combined with being widely available in thousands of places in Poland.

Our specialized portfolio focuses on the following products available in the bancassurance sector, included as part of mortgages, consumer loans, credit cards, and bank deposits:

• guarantees and euro guarantees,

We successfully create and launch own investment products.

We provide insurance guarantees to the largest tour operators in Poland, and our company is considered one of the best in the travel-insurance market.

As a result of consistent activities, following the third quarter of 2011, the Europa Group was ranked as the fourth insurance group in the Polish market on the basis of gross written premium (according to PAS).

Furthermore, TU Europa SA achieved the fourth-best net financial result among non-life insurers, and because of TU na Życie Europa SA's net profit, the company placed fifth among companies in the life-insurance sector.

TU Europa SA and TU na Życie Europa SA have been at the top of the rankings in terms of financial results for a long period of time.
